About Heaven

The GOOD NEWS is that you can know for sure that you are on your way to heaven. The Bible is very clear and simple about how to get to heaven, that is, how you can be SAVED from the penalty of sin, which is eternal punishment in Hell, and receive the gift of eternal life.

Step One: REPENTThis is to have a change of attitude about yourself and God.  You understand that as your Creator, He has a right to expect your conformity to His will and His desires for you.  You believe that you are accountable to Him for the decisions you make and the things that you do.  You sincerely respect His authority to judge you.  You are concernedabout the eternal consequences of your sin.  You are willing to do whatever God requires to make it right with Him.

“…except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”

Step Two: BELIEVE This is a deep, heartfelt, life-altering conviction that God is willing to save you despite your unworthiness.  It is realizing that Jesus Christ gave His life specifically for you when He died on the cross.  It is believing that His sacrifice is all that is necessary for you to be forgiven by God.  It is knowing that Jesus’ resurrection from the dead demonstrated that He was more than a mere mortal, that Jesus Christ was God in human form.

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…”

Step Three: RECEIVE All that is necessary at this point is to, by faith, call out to God for His mercy, acknowledging to Him and yourself what has been stated above, and through His grace receive the payment Christ made for you and the free gift of eternal life, by receiving Jesus Christ Himself into your heart and life.

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
